New Article: Dumb and Dumber Moves in Racquetball
Probably one of my longer articles about dumb and dumber moves in racquetball. Some recreational players break some important rules in racquetball just to avoid giving up an opportunity to their opponent. While it's dumb not to play by the rules, it's dumber to allow it to happen.

My Mission Statement
A Mission Statement. A driving force for a company and something totally missing from my Racquetball Site. Anyway my first attempt at one and I believe I can follow it to help the site and my audience.

Free ELO Calculator Posted
ELO is a ranking system I've used for years for my leagues. For me, it's been a great predictor of who is going to win a match. Hopefully it can be useful to the public.

USAR New Jersey Ranked Players
Matthew Hills sent me something pretty cool over email today. It's a link on the USAR Website that shows all the New Jersey players and their rankings. I saw a lot of matches that I thought were never recorded. Pretty cool. Check it out.

Three More NJO Videos Posted from Woodbridge NJ
The last of the videos have been posted. Features Tom Keogh, Team Wilson Player and NYRA Vice President, vs. Greg Galbornetti (Team Head) in the 40+ Singles Final. Also two final matches from Wayne Suggs and Jim LaSala (Team E-Force) vs. Stever Aguirre and Mark Kane in the 40's and Billy Captain and Frank Luchetto in the 50's Final.

Videos and Event Coverage: NJO at Woodbridge NJ
A couple of players asked me if I was shooting video that weekend, so I dusted off the camera, encoder, and the laptop to catch as many matches as possible. Also did a short write up on the matches I covered.

Article: Racquetball and Fatherhood

Article: Why I play with Team Head? By Joseph Delgado
I've always used Head racquets since I started playing racquetball. This short article is about how early choices negatively affected my game and what the Head line of racquets has done to turn it around over the years.

HRC: Round Robin Tournament 10/5 to 10/7/07
I always look forward to a tournament at Hillsborough because it's the best value for the money. You play at least one game against all the other entrants, it's a great prooving ground for begineers, and you get to play Open Doubles for an additional $10. Check out the application and sign up. Gloria always has a cool theme, this one is Patriot Games starring Captain America.

Revised. NJ State Doubles 9/22 to 9/23/07 at Classic
Revised 8/5/07: Looks like it'll be moved to 9/22 because of Labor Day. Original Post: Kind of weird that the first tournament for the 2007-08 Season is a State Level Tournament, but that's what's on the USA Racquetball Schedule. Don't think there's an application yet, but just wanted to let everyone know it's coming.

New Jersey Club Locations Added
It's a resource I helped develop and I noticed a couple of keyword searches on my site stats, so I thought why not add it and help people find a club to play racquetball at.

Gearbox Interview on Racquetball Roundtable
Part I of the Ray Davis interview with Gearbox Racquetball has been posted to the website. Tonight at 9 PM Eastern Time tune in for Part II. Gearbox is a new manufacturer of Racquetball racquets with three models to choose from.

Where's the Gearbox Website?
Someone on Meet and Play announced that the Gearbox website will be ready on July 15th. It's a little over a week late. Anyway a lot of people are excited about this new racquetball manufacturer. Hopefully the site is done soon.

Aimee Ruiz new Head/Penn Regional Marketing Coordinator for New Jersey
Aimee took over for Bill Serafin this season. She's been playing racquetball for over twenty years and has been sponsored by just about every racquetball manufacturer out there. She admits Head/Penn is the best out there with the best equipment and customer service. She's looking forward to increasing the amount of Sponsored players in New Jersey and wants to participate in more demo nights like she did for Rutgers. I'm looking forward to working with Aimee and her husband Felix.

Joe's: Leagues Page Reorganized
For years, I took the previous leagues and tournament pages and tossed them to the side. Guess I was so busy trying to get things rolling for the next league, I just let it slip by. Anyway I think it's important to show that history for people and offer all the league resources in one spot. Check out the new Leagues page on my site and let me know what you think.

NJAR 2006-07 NJ State Singles at Classic, 3/23 to 3/25/07
It's the first event of the new organization in Jersey called the New Jersey Amatuer Racquetball Assoication. We're planning for it to be a huge kick-off, I know, I know a kick-off at the end of the Season...since the NJAR is brand new it can use the money. Hope you everyone can come out, play, and have a good time. We're planning to have first round referees!

Predator's Peril at Hillsborough 3/9 to 3/11/07
Even though I don't think Predators ever feel in peril, but I gotta say it's an interesting theme. A round robin is a great way to break into tournament play and really see how your skills compare. Hillsborough has a great group of players and Gloria Fidecaro and Joe Camiolo run a pretty tight ship. Looking forward to the Hunt!

NJRF 2006-07 NJ State Doubles Results Posted
It was a pretty good send off for the NJRF under Bill Serafin. A lot of the regular teams showed up to play the tournament. I had the rare honor to see Ruben Gonzalez play with his partner Fabian Pedraza in the Open final vs. Aimee Ruiz and Sanjay LaForest. I'll share the video with everyone when I've had a chance to edit it.
