Personal History

DM's Notes: Dagger's player got the typical syndrome, "I don't want my character to die," syndrome. Characterized by excessive panic during the game. Normally I wouldn't have a problem, since this can all be part of the character's personality. "By Tymora, I have seen and suffered so much. Have I been lucky thus far? Am I cut out to be an adventurer?"

But this doesn't apply to a berserker who worships Tempus, the God of War. This character's favorite activitiy was to, "Run 60'" whenever danger approached. I remember once in the Sewers of Voonlar, I had a illusion trap set by Zhentish Mages to protect certain areas. Anyway the illusion consisted of a large creature with claws and piercing eyes. What did Daggar do at seeing the illusion? "Run 60'."

Just from the stats alone Daggar was one of the strongest memebers of the Rights of Passage, until Nardac of the Iron House joined the Rights much later. Nardac would actually roam the countryside looking for trouble.

The shame is Daggar actually started out with a lot of promise and to have him turn coward after becoming more powerful is sad. The reverse should happen, cautious at the beginning and more brazen later.

The stats are high because I was nieve about stats and allowed either 4d6 reroll 1's or even 1 & 2's. Nowadays just 4d6 drop lowest, arrange from top to bottom. I'm glad Daggar was played as a coward, because it would have been a lot harder to make fair combats otherwise.
