Loudwater Campaign Test
Well...During the net party I was so excited to try out my adventure that I could barely sleep. Anyway it did not turn out so well mostly due to hardware difficulties from Brian's overheating computer.

Having players actually play the adventure showed me a few things that are required. A sense of direction, a sense of place, and a few encounters that make this small town home. I didn't have any of those things yet and my map just became a dungeon crawl.

Anyway the picture featured is from the entrance of Loudwater after the PCs and myself purchased equipment. One thing that I immediately saw was the guards at the gate were ignored. I need one of those "I need to speak to you." scripts. I hope we can try again next month.

Loudwater is a town in the Forgotten Realms in Delimbiyr Vale. It is pretty close to the High Forest on the western shores of Faerūn. I chose Loudwater since it has a lot of humanoid monster raids, has been around for a very long time, has plenty of ruins and areas to be developed, and is targeted by the Zhentarim. (10/20/02)

Neverwinter Nights Campaigns
I'm still learning how to make a campaign for Neverwinter. I started with a small 4x4 Town section with a little girl and an evil dwarf cleric. The little girl asks the party to help her, that the evil cleric is going to kill her father.

If the party agrees a journal entry is added and there's a small experience award. After the dwarf is dealt with a variable is set so that a different conversation takes place with the girl. I'm amazed at the flexibility of the Toolset and hope I can get started soon.
